THE SPACE BETWEEN

This section of the website is a collection and reflection of the work carried out during semester 1 in the Art & Architecture Diploma at ECA.

The space around and between things became the initial subject of interest, sparked by looking at the work of scientist James Clerk Maxwell and his research into the electromagnetic spectrum of light.

An exploration of the different aspects of manifesting this space was carried out through various installations.

Artists and writers/poets whose work looks to defining space and place, fed into the ongoing exploration, ultimately leading to the final artistic development.

The final artwork takes the form of an interactive installation that seeks to bring awareness to place through the manipulation of space using colour, light and poetry.
